Community Involvement

Helping our neighbors and making our communities stronger is at the core of what we do

At the Reilly Financial Group we recognize the complexity of building comprehensive wealth and risk management solutions.  We work with clients through every stage of their life, from planning for the future to planning a legacy.

We also work with our neighbors to make our communities stronger. From team volunteer activities with Catholic Charities, to support of local organizations such as Pillar College, Urban Impact, Edison Art Society and Embrace Kids. Individual team members also dedicate their personal time to causes such as Junior Achievement and the Special Olympics.

George Reilly serves on the board of directors for the Planned Giving and Estate Planning Committee for Catholic Charities.  In 2014, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, announced that Reilly Financial Group was selected to receive the organization’s Corporate Citizen of the Year Award. This award is given annually to companies that have partnered with Catholic Charities in its mission to provide essential services to the community’s poor and vulnerable.

Community Champion

The Reilly Financial Group was also recently recognized as Community Champion by MetLife and was honored at a MetLife Stadium event in December 2015.  This recognition as a Community Champion is awarded to those who are seen as champions every day, giving their best to help their neighbors and are doing what it takes to make their communities stronger.

Its services include basic needs like food, clothing and shelter plus specialized services such as drug treatment, mental health and legal support. “We’re very grateful to all the Reilly Financial Group employees who take the time to come out and volunteer with Catholic Charities,” said Mary Pettrow, Catholic Charities spokesperson. “The firm has a long tradition of supporting Catholic Charities and we thank them for their support. Without the generosity of local volunteers like these, we would not be able to provide all the critical community services we do.”

2017 – A New Place

On August 25 members of the Reilly Financial Group teamed with Catholic Charities to provide El Centro, a vital resource in a Spanish-speaking community, help to increase its impact and expand its offerings.  El Centro, a BIA-accredited, multicultural program of Catholic Charities, recently acquired new office space.   Members of the Reilly Financial Group joined in the effort to help El Centro prepare their new office space for occupancy by rolling up their sleeves and painting, cleaning and organizing the space. Their visit marked the sixth consecutive year the firm has hosted a volunteer day in support of Catholic Charities.

“Like the mission of Catholic Charities, our firm’s commitment has always been to help people protect their families, support their communities, and help one another,” says George Reilly, the group’s Financial Service Executive. “Every year, we look forward to our Day of Caring as nourishment for our souls. It’s a way to have fun as a team while giving back to the community,” he adds.

“Year after year, the Reilly Financial Group demonstrates the power of volunteerism, and we are grateful for their ongoing support,” Jennifer Leip, Catholic Charities-Diocese of Trenton, adds.
